Marius Aquarius.
With a title like that you already earned your review. It's one of those titles that makes you wonder whether it's the new METRONOMY album. But before I lose focus, let me tell you this: Marius Aquarius turns out to be a fantastic song as well!
The responsible kids are L'ENFANT which you might remember from their 2014 release on Silhouette Music. That was a wonderful start but since then their sound has grown, resulting in this release on Kraak & Smaak's label Boogie Angst.
Yes these men have taste. Taste for a wonderful vocal hook, nagging synthesizers, production skills and swollen theatrical endings. This track is right up their alley and it immediately puts L'enfant on the level of the big boys.
The only unfortunate thing: They need a new name. Cause they have clearly outgrown this one....
